delicious strawberries and raspberrieA team of three experienced chefs produces the highly acclaimed food at the Meikleour Hotel near Blairgowrie , and have over 60 years experience between them. The food is all made and prepared in house, with its own special stock pot prepared every Monday.

The fish is delivered daily direct from the boats in Aberdeen. The meat is purchased at the local Award Winning Butchers. Fresh fruit and vegetables are delivered every morning. All food is sourced locally when ever possible, in the summer month’s delicious strawberries and raspberries from the berry fields of Carse of Gowrie are offered.

The menu includes old and new dishes ranging from the hotel’s highly acclaimed signature dish of Fresh Haddock coated in the hotel’s own beer and spring water batter to a Daily Specials Blackboard, we always have fresh salmon available & often offer local game when in season. The food is best described as ‘Imaginative bistro fare with the accent on home made’.

Wine
The owners enjoy their wine, so have used their love of wine to carefully select wines that compliment the dishes. The wine list includes an extensive wine list from all over the world, with a selection of fine wines for the connoisseurs.

House whites – Chardonnay, Saivignon Blanc and Pino Grigio
House reds – A French Merlot and a South African mixed grape fuller body wine.

Meikleour Hotel ’s restaurant is a characterful intimate dining area with seven tables accommodating up to 25 guests enhanced by a lovely log fire in the winter.

It is open to non-residents. Booking is advisable!
